Foster
This is one of the simplest ways to help out our cause. We believe the best way for our initiatives to be successful is for the community to actively get involved. This is an easy and efficient way of contributing to the great work we do at Two Girls Four Paws All Breed Rescue.
We provide all durable supplies, food, and veterinary care to our fosters for their foster pups. We appreciate any and every foster family that our rescue has. They are truly the back bone of the rescue and nothing would be possible without our TGFP foster family. To apply to foster, please go to the 'Applications & Forms" page ! **Fosters always get first dibs on adoption for their foster pup - regardless of number of applications in for said dog**

Foster Requirements
Safety of the Dog:
- Because we bring a majority of these dogs from less than ideal situations, we want to make sure we provide them with as much love and comfort as possible. This is the main job as a foster parent! We ask that our rescue dogs get treated as your own. This means they have constant access to clean food and water bowls, not being left outside for long periods of time, and not being put in any unsafe situation. Giving these dogs a safe environment where they have the opportunity to flourish will help us place them into adoptive homes where they can continue to thrive.
Keep the Rescue Updated:
-Our main priority as a rescue is to make sure all of our dogs are in good health. If any issues ever arise, we ask that you contact us immediately. This ensures we can get them vet care as needed. If a foster is taken to the vet and prescribed medication, we require the medication to be administered as prescribed - as well as tracked on a medicine log which we will provide you. Outside of health issues, we also ask to be given a 'biography' on your foster pup. This bio should include persaonlity traits, quirks, dislikes, and any socialization the dog has. (Such as if the dog is good with other dogs, cats, kids, etc.) This information helps us place them in adoptive home that best suits all of their needs.
Transportation:
- Fosters are required to transport their fosters in an enclosed car in either a kennel or attached to a seatbelt harness. No dog should be transported in the bed of a truck or an open vehicle! Dogs will need to be picked up from transport, and we do try to find a central location that will best suit all of our fosters. Dogs will also need to be transported to vet appointments and meet and greets on an as needed basis. We will try to work with your schedule as much as possible to make sure that you are available.
Regulations:
- The rescue must follow all city, state, and county ordinances. We require all of our foster homes to follow all of those ordinances as well. If you are unsure of what ordinances apply to you, please reach out and we would be happy to help! One of the biggest regulations we must follow is keeping each household under the allotted number of pets. If you add any animals (Not fosters) to your household after becoming an approved foster, please let us know so we can update your file and place dogs with you accordingly. We do this not only to protect our rescue, but you as well.
